The drawback to most micromotors is the low torque. No
more!- This new, brushless, ultra-high torque motor and
control system provide brute-strength power and smooth control
through the 1,000 to 50,000 rpm speed range and completely
eliminates carbon brush maintenance.
New, intelligent microprocessor controls provide fully variable
speed via console or foot control, protect the handpiece from damage
and display precise rotational speed. Automatic speed control
feature simplifies foot control speed operation.
Comes complete with brushless handpiece, 3/32"
collet, variable speed foot control and accessories. Made in USA.

Foredom Micro Motor- High Speed Rotary Handpiece
Variable Speed up to 45,000 RPM
#1070 Micro Motor Kit $395.00
This kit is ideal for high speed
applications up to 45,000 rpm, including light deburring of cast
pieces, bright cutting in jewelry making, and fine detailing in
woodcarving. Compared to flex shaft micro motors have much less
torque however, the higher speed results in a comparable rate of
material removal with a lighter touch. The simple coil cord
connection between the handpiece motor and control box is another
key advantage. Unlike the "drag" and general restriction in
maneuverability you have with a shaft and sheath, micro motors offer
much greater freedom of movement.
1070 Micro Motor Kit Includes:
Control-HP4-9l7, Handpiece with 3/32"
(2,35mm) Collet-MH-170, Variable Speed Foot Control-HP4-950,
Handpiece Cradle-HP4-933, Spare Pair of Motor Brushes, Spare
Fuse, Collet Changing Wrenches.
The compact Control has switches on
the front for 0n/0ff Power Forward or Reverse Rotation, and Manual
or Foot Speed Control. Speed can be adjusted from low to full speed
using the dial on the box, or with the foot pedal. An Overload
Protector Light turns red and sounds a beeping alarm if the
motor stalls. The back of the control box has a convenient voltage
selector switch for operating with either 115 or 230 volt-no need to
specify 230 volt when ordering. The control converts AC current to
DC current required for the handpiece. The box also has receptacles
for the Variable Speed Foot Control and an Optional On/0ff Foot
Switch (see below).
Optional On/Off Foot Switch HP4-927
$25.00
This control is available separately and does
not come in the kit. It plugs into the back of the control box
and allows you to turn the motor on and off without changing the
speed set by the dial.
Bur changes are quick and easy with a
simple twist of the front section of the Handpiece. A Cradle is also
supplied for the handpiece when not in use. A selection of collet
adapters is available for simplifying changes between accessories
with different shank size.
