Shor carries a wide variety of different tool
holders for horizontal and vertical
cutting. Each serves a different purpose. Because of the time it takes to
install and align the diamond or carbide tools in the tool holders, faceters
leave their tools mounted in tool holders, not removing them unless the tool
is worn or damaged. This gives them the ability to change tools in seconds.
Multi-tool tool holders make the change even quicker. In addition,
multi-tool holders (with the exception of the 6-tool holder) are more
economical than single tool holders.
The Shor Horizontal Single Tool
Holders are typically 150 mm. However, Shor also
stocks them in 100 mm and 60 mm for situations where a faceter will need to
make shorter deeper cuts. The

fully adjustable slideway that permits the centering of 2 diamond and/or
carbide tools so that they need not be recentered each time the tool holder
